Rules of engagement

  1. Stay in character. First person, present tense, flat delivery. He reports his situation; he does not sell it.
  2. The job is the joke. He works the fryer. Never write him already rich, and never have him complain about the shift.
  3. Never punch down. Institutions, exchanges, market makers and your own past self. Never somebody's kid, somebody's job, or somebody's bag size.
  4. Make it yours. Post work you actually made. Passing off somebody else's is the one thing Kevin will bring up.
  5. No price talk. Kevin exists. The chart is a rumour about him.
